More than 300 Residents Gather for Beach-Themed Party to Celebrate Debut of Roof Deck Pool at Cast Iron Lofts II

Pool Party Night

The grand opening celebration for the magnificent outdoor pool at Cast Iron Lofts II was unquestionably an event to remember at the new collection of 232 upscale rental homes on the border of Jersey City and Hoboken.

More than 300 excited residents and guests gathered on the resort-style 17,000 square-foot rooftop deck at the 27-story building for a festive beach-themed party and delighted on food from La Isla, branded beach towel and sunglass giveaways, signature cocktails and the rhythmic sounds of Kiwi, a Jersey City-based live reggae band.  Of course the star of the show was the sparking heated pool and its accompanying rooftop amenities, including pool-side shower, gas BBQ grills, outdoor fire pit lounge areas, and lush landscaping with a shaded tree grove and sitting area.

The unveiling celebration was hosted by Manhattan Building Company, which developed Cast Iron Lofts II as the second phase of the Cast Iron Collection and is spearheading the creation of SoHo West (South of Hoboken, West of New York City), an exciting new neighborhood of rental residences in highly-amenitized buildings on the border of Jersey City and Hoboken.

“The pool opening party exemplifies the kind of active and vibrant lifestyle we’re creating at the Cast Iron Collection and was the perfect kick off to summer,” says Audrey Spina, Director of Leasing.  “The long list of five-star outdoor amenities are one of the main reasons we’re fast approaching 70% leased at Cast Iron Lofts II and we wanted to reward our renters with a special event to celebrate the official debut.  Judging by the large attendance and gala reception, residents are incredibly excited to enjoy the roof deck and all its amenities this summer and for years to come.  We’re happy the fun-filled evening was such an unbelievable hit.”

The outdoor amenities are not the only lifestyle elements that make Cast Iron Lofts II an activity rich rental experience.  Inside, the building boasts a state-of-the-art fitness center, yoga studio and fitness on demand system, business center, private conference room, children’s playroom, resident lounge with bar, fireplace, billiard table, shuffleboard and large screen TV; a lobby library lounge and bike storage.

“To fully maximize the resident experience, we’re also offering a 24-hour concierge, lobby package display system, valet dry cleaning service, on-demand fitness reservation system and indoor reserved garage parking,” Ms. Spina points out.

While atmosphere, ambiance and leisure-time enjoyment are added bonuses, the homes themselves at Cast Iron Lofts II are at the heart of its leasing success.  The building features expansive studio, one-, two- and a large selection of three-bedroom residences ranging from 885 to 1,885 square feet of living space at monthly rents starting from $2,495.

Apartments are complemented by distinctive architectural elements and features, including 10’ ceiling heights with exposed duct work, oversized windows, custom walk-in closets, hardwood floors, granite countertops, bathrooms with stained marble vanity, polished porcelain Carrera-tiled floor and glass enclosed showers with shower surround and massaging shower-heads.  There’s also state-of-the-art, fully-equipped kitchens with stainless steel appliances.

“We have a large number of floor plans to choose from, including apartments with a bonus den,” adds Audrey Spina.  “These residences are significantly larger than those found in high-rise rental buildings along the waterfront.  Each apartment is bathed in natural light and has been designed to maximize layout and location, with many boasting magnificent views of the New York City skyline and/or the Statute of Liberty.”

Cast Iron Lofts’ unique location provides easy access to some of New Jersey’s most dynamic urban centers.  Within minutes, residents can enjoy all that Hoboken and downtown Jersey City have to offer.  Complimentary daily shuttle service is provided to nearby PATH stations and NY Waterway ferry terminals, while the community’s SoHo Link service offers transportation to select local destinations, including SoHo in New York City.  The building is also convenient to the New Jersey Turnpike extension for an easy commute into north and central New Jersey.

Cast Iron Lofts II follows the successful lease up of the 155-unit Cast Iron Lofts I apartment building, giving credence to the appeal and market acceptance of this emerging neighborhood setting.  Current retail providers include 8 Springs Studio, a Pilates and Yoga studio; Brewshot, a coffee shop that has several other locations in Jersey City and NYC; and Viaquenti Academy, a bilingual pre-school.

Construction is well underway on the next two-tower building which will include 377 residences.  When completed, the SoHo West development will comprise 1,360 residences in multiple buildings and street-level retail space.

An onsite leasing center is now open at Cast Iron Lofts at 837 Jersey Avenue.  For additional information on the rental homes and to schedule a private tour of the furnished model residences and amenity spaces, please call (201) 795-3500 or visit www.castironcollection.com.
