The opening of 8 Springs Studio, Jersey City’s premier Megaformer studio, successfully kicked off Saturday with a ribbon-cutting ceremony aided by Deputy Mayor Marcos Vigil and Jersey City Councilwoman Candice Osborne. New Jersey entrepreneurs and fitness professionals Li Ng and Dani Rubin are first to bring the Megaformer workout to Jersey City.

With celebrity enthusiasts ranging from Sofia Vergara to Michelle Obama, the Megaformer workout combines cardio, strength, endurance, flexibility, core conditioning and balance in an intensity focused 40-minute class.

“We’re so excited to bring Megaformer to Jersey City”, said co-owners Li Ng and Dani Rubin.  “This workout is designed to accommodate participants of all fitness levels.  It’s a high-intensity low-impact workout that focuses on quick and dramatic improvements in strength, flexibility, and endurance by working multiple muscle groups at once,” said Rubin.

In addition to Megaformer, 8 Springs Studio offers yoga, mat pilates, TRX and HIIT. The new 2,600-square-foot facility at Cast Iron Lofts II will feature a 10-machine Megaformer room, a separate yoga/HIIT room, and TRX suspension systems.
