Today we are shining the JC FYI spotlight on Mordi’s Schnitzel Truck.
From their website:
Chef/Owner Mordechai Chichportiche (Mordi) was born and raised in Israel and loves sharing some of his favorite foods growing up with the place he now calls home.
Mordi graduated from The French Culinary Institute (currently The International Culinary Center) and worked as a line-cook in both New York City and Tel Aviv. His last position held in a restaurant was Sous Chef at Il Pesce in Eataly’s marketplace. Eventually Mordi’s entrepreneurial spirit was in need of a challenge and opening a food truck was the best way to start.
Mordi’s Schnitzel Truck has a simple but important goal: to provide excellent customer service and quality, homemade Israeli street food from the freshest ingredients possible.
Schnitzel is defined as a thin slice of meat of vegetable that is breaded and lightly friend. Mordi’s menu runs the gamut from schnitzel subs and platters to Signature Sandwiches of falafel and sabikh. Sides include olives, coleslaw, Israeli salad, and the requisite deli pickle.
