Beneath NJ is bringing its Open Decks night back to Porta Jersey City, 135 Newark Avenue, on Wednesday, November 4. The event takes place in the venue’s downstairs space from 8 p.m. to midnight, with doors opening at 7 p.m.

The night is aimed at new and aspiring DJs in New Jersey, as well as people looking to get more involved in the local nightlife scene. Participating DJs play 20 minute sets, and all genres are welcome. Performers are chosen at random throughout the night, and those who arrive early can get familiar with the equipment and setup before sets begin.

Admission is free and open to DJs, industry members and music fans. Those interested in signing up to play can RSVP for free through Resident Advisor.
