World Cup fever has arrived at Halifax Hoboken and the W Living Room, where guests can catch tournament matches throughout the venue. TVs are located in Halifax’s back dining room, behind the Halifax bar, and in the W Living Room, making it easy for soccer fans to follow the action while dining or gathering with friends.
To mark the tournament, Chef Seadon Shouse has introduced a rotating $45 World Cup prix fixe menu inspired by the nations competing on the pitch. The menu will change every few days throughout the tournament, with dishes reflecting the teams playing that week. The inaugural menu features flavors from France and Senegal, including a choice of Summer Strawberry Salad or Local Mushroom Arancini to start, followed by either Braised Short Rib “Bourguignon” Style or Grilled Senegalese Salmon with dibi yassa, sweet potatoes, and caramelized onions.
The menu runs June 15 through July 19 and will evolve as the World Cup progresses. Sample menu details provided by the restaurant.
Halifax and the W Living Room are located at the W Hoboken, 225 River St., Hoboken, N.J. Reservations suggested at www.halifaxhoboken.com.
About Halifax
Halifax is a waterfront restaurant offering the only unobstructed view of the Hudson River and New York City skyline in Hoboken. The restaurant features Northeastern farm and coastal cuisine, with an emphasis on local and sustainable ingredients. The vast majority of products—if not made in-house—are sourced from farmers, fishermen, and artisans from Delaware north to its namesake, Halifax. Chef Seadon Shouse brings a distinct point of view through house-smoked meats and seafood, house-made vermouth, and sea salt produced from Montauk waters. The beverage program highlights a curated selection of spirits, wines, and beers from respected local producers.
