The threat of inclement weather prevented officials from officially breaking ground on the new Liberty Science Center High School outdoors on Monday. So, officials brought the dirt inside the Liberty Science center, where elected, civic and educational leaders took up ceremonial shovels, kicking off perhaps one of the most innovative and important public/private projects in Jersey City history.
According to http://www.tapinto.net Liberty Science Center High School, is slated to open in 2025 at SciTech Scity, the 30-acre “City of Tomorrow” being developed by LSC. A world-class public magnet STEM academy that will be operated by the Hudson County Schools of Technology, LSCHS will provide programs in Earth (Sustainable Engineering and Climate Science), Life (Biological Sciences), and Space (Astrophysics) to 400 students in grades 9 – 12 from across Hudson County.
