Choc•O•Pain Opens New Location at Le Leo in Journal Square

Hudson County’s premiere French Bakery and Café, Choc•O•Pain Bakery & Café is proud to announce its fifth area location has open at 244 St Pauls Avenue, Jersey City.  The intimate new café is found in the street-level retail space and well-appointed lobby lounge of Le Léo, the new 99-unit luxury rental building developed by Park Stone Management and Fields Grade.

Owner Clemence Danko explains, “Thanks to the loyalty of our customers, we’ve experienced steady expansion since opening the first Choc•O•Pain in Hoboken in 2012. We’re excited to be a part of the burgeoning Journal Square scene, while providing a special amenity to Le Léo’s residents. Now the entire neighborhood can enjoy our daily, fresh baked breads, pastries and café items.

The Le Léo location (and entrance) of Choc•O•Pain is situated just off John F. Kennedy Boulevard, and is a less than ten-minute walk to the Journal Square PATH station—perfect for grab-and-go. The café space will lend a taste of Parisian charm to the stylish Le Léo ambiance and contribute yet another choice to a neighborhood distinguished by such landmarks as Mana Contemporary arts center, the Loew’s Theater and of course the hotly anticipated Parisian museum, Centre De Pompidou. Guests can look forward to enjoying Choc•O•Pain’s signature house made breads, French pastries, tarts, cakes, and croissants, breakfast and lunch items, and even gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian specialties. French specialty food items such as artisanal chocolates, macarons, candies and Alain Milliat jams will also be available.  This new Jersey City location will be another little slice of France this side of the Atlantic.
