First thing you do is head to Iris Records and/or Stan’s Square Records (if you’re lucky enough to find it open) to celebrate all JC has to offer on Record Store Day.
For the second year in a row Dogfish Head Craft Brewery has been chosen to create the official beer for Record Store Day, a celebration of the unique culture of record stores and the special role they play in their communities. This year Dogfish Head has mad A Beer To Drink Music To, a Belgian style Tripel that utilizes ingredients inspired by some of their favorite tunes including orange peel, peppercorns, candi sugar, and cardamom which were inspired by the following: Orange Crush by REM, Sgt. Pepper by The Beatles, Sugar On My Tongue by Talking Heads, and Mock Song by Phish.
On Saturday April 16th Barcade will be celebrating Record Store Day in collaboration with Dogfish Head with a special draftlist, free swag, and we will be raffling off a few items including Dogfish Head’s curated mix on record and CD and a custom made Crosley turntable.
Ticket entries into the raffle with be given out with every purchase of a Dogfish Head beer that day. The raffle drawing will be at 5pm and one must be present to receive the prize. Limit 1 prize per customer.
