Award-winning, globetrotting, Nigerian photographer Chi Modu will be featured in the upcoming JC Fridays event on September 11th. Chi is a world renowned, iconic photographer whose photos have appeared on the covers of Rolling Stone Magazine and Jazz Times. The event will take place at Grace on the corner of 2nd & Erie Sts. in Downtown JC. An easy walk from the Grove St. PATH station.
He has also worked with multiple Grammy-Award winning jazz phenom, bassist Christian McBride. Chi will present a slideshow of his work and discuss his journey to fame.
Chi will discuss photographing Tupac Shakur, Snoop Dog, Mary J. Blige and traveling throughout the Far East and Africa.
His book, Uncategorized, will be on sale with t-shirts from his 2014 retrospective in Finland.
The event is a FREE presented by Art House Productions and Grace Van Vorst.
