JC’s first public golf course, Skyway Golf Course at Lincoln Park West, is set to open on June 15th. The 9-hole course will charge $20 per person with special prices for students and senior citizens. Hudson County residents will have the option of buying a discount card. Golfers will be able to golf a full 18-holes beginning July 1st.

The 55-acre course is located on Routes 1&9 and Duncan Avenue.
About 80 percent of the $20 million spent on the course was put toward the clean-up of the landfill, according to Hudson County spokesman Jim Kennelly.
Kennelly added that the course’s nine-hole format provides golfers a more time-efficient alternative to playing a full 18 holes.
“It’ll be an inexpensive way for people to play golf,” he added. “Students from around the city will be able to take advantage of the course.
