Riverview Farmers Market Offers Food, Music, and More!

2015-05-06_10-43-58If you stopped by the Riverview Farmers Market’s opening day on May 3, you might have caught the afternoon’s “Chicks Who Rock” concert, featuring local musicians The Karyn Kuhl Band, Debra Devi, and Christine Santelli. These opening day performances were the first installment of the Market’s 2015 Music in the Park Series, and they were sponsored in part by the Lincoln Inn Bar & Grill.

Music in the Park will be held at the Riverview Farmers Market every first Sunday through November 1 at 12:30 PM. It’s going to be an eclectic line-up, with something for everyone!

The Riverview Farmers Market is held at Riverview-Fisk Park (1 Bowers Street, Jersey City, NJ) in the Heights neighborhood. It is accessible by bus and via Hudson Bergen Light Rail (9th Street/Congress Street).

June 7: RiverviewJazz.Org’s Dixieland Picnic

July 5: Afternoon of Music with Brianne Ford, Matteis, the Steven Niles Jazz/Funk Trio and DJ Irs, hosted by Beth Achenbach

August 2: The Benson Ridge Project and Morus Alba

September 6: Raga and Tala: Chhandayan Indian Instrumental Duet and Arbiters of Taste

October 4: The Sensational Country Blues Wonders performing with Twiddlin’ Thumbs and Zydeco Revelators

November 1: Day of the Dead Celebration with the Union City Music Projectand Mariachi Flor de Toloache

In addition, local favorite DJ Pastiche will appear every third Sunday of the month.
