Book Haven Books will hold its Quiet Reading Club on Thursday, September 17 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Gemini, a Latin American cafe and eatery at 506 Jersey Avenue in Jersey City. The group is returning to the spot after a well attended visit there earlier this year.

The format stays simple: attendees bring whatever they are currently reading and spend an hour reading quietly alongside other book lovers. There is no assigned title and no pressure, just a chance to slow down in good company. The evening opens with time to arrive and order food or drinks from Gemini, moves into a dedicated reading hour from 7 to 8 p.m., then wraps up with a group photo and social time until 8:30.

The event is free to attend, though space is limited and RSVP is required through Eventbrite.
