Savor Luxurious Valentine’s Indulgences at Halifax in Hoboken

This Valentine’s Day, Halifax in Hoboken invites couples and friends to celebrate with an intimate, pairing-forward dining experience that blends seasonal cuisine, thoughtful wine selections, and sweeping Manhattan views. Offered exclusively on Saturday, February 14, the evening features a three-course prix fixe menu priced at $150 per person, with an optional $70 beverage pairing designed to complement each course from first sip to final bite.

“For Valentine’s Day, I wanted the menu to feel indulgent yet relaxed — something that encourages guests to linger and truly enjoy the experience,” said Executive Chef Seadon Shouse. “It’s about comfort, balance, and celebrating great food and wine together.”

The evening begins on a celebratory note with an Oyster Tart amuse-bouche paired with a dedicated pour of Perrier-Jouët Champagne (France, NV), offering bright acidity and mineral elegance to awaken the palate. Guests then select from refined, locally sourced starters, including Burrata & Beets with orange and red beets, pistachio, arugula, and aged balsamic, or a luxurious Purée of Mushroom Soup finished with preserved white truffle and chive crème fraîche.

Entrée selections continue the wine-driven narrative. Options include a Sous Vide New York Strip with truffle potato gratin, roasted cauliflower, and green peppercorn sauce, paired with The Prisoner Cabernet Sauvignon (California, 2023); Poached Halibut with Maine mussels beurre blanc, potatoes, Swiss chard, and bacon, paired with Sea Smoke Chardonnay (Sta. Rita Hills, 2022); or Winter Greens Mezzelune Ravioli with squash butter, roasted squash, ricotta salata, and crispy kale, paired with either a red or white selection.

Dessert brings the evening to a decadent close with a Raspberry Chocolate Mousse Torte layered with mascarpone cream, raspberry jam, chocolate shortbread, and fresh raspberries, served alongside Halifax’s signature Espresso Martini. Guests may elevate the experience further with an optional 1-ounce Ossetra caviar service ($98), accompanied by house-made milk bread, crème fraîche, chives, and red onion.
