After years of sitting stagnant, the Loew’s Theater in Jersey City will finally be moving forward with renovations. Mayor Fulop announced that much of the team who renovated the sister theater in Brooklyn will be working on the project in Jersey City. This current renovation will be done in partnership with the NJ Devils Entertainment Inc., who runs the Prudential Center – one of the most booked venues in the country.
This will be a $72m renovation returning it to that magic of 1929 when it first opened.
Mayor Fulop stated in an Instagram post, “We may be in tough times today but live entertainment will be back and cities that bet on arts/entertainment/culture will still be desirable places to live + work.”
