Developers of new home communities on New Jersey’s famed Jersey Shore are reporting an uptick in interest from urban enthusiasts seeking more space and comfort without sacrificing the ease of living and proximity to a dynamic lifestyle they enjoy in city apartments and condos.  At one of the most unique new neighborhoods in Monmouth County, East Gate in Oceanport,  CB New Homes, its exclusive sales and marketing agent, has seen a noticeable increase in phone calls and website leads from potential buyers in urban centers such as Jersey CIty and Hoboken.

One thing many of these prospects share is a strong desire to move quickly and purchase a home that would allow them to be residing “down the shore” by summer’s end.  This not only allows them to be enjoying a suburban-like lifestyle sooner than later, it also enables families with young children to be settled in a new home in time for the 2020 school year.

East Gate has been an attractive option thanks in large measure to its limited inventory of immediate occupancy homes now available, according to RPM Development Group, which has created East Gate in fullyrestored century-old Officer’s Housing at historic Fort Monmouth in Oceanport, NJ.

Each of the product types offered at East Gate, townhomes and single-family detached residences, are available in the Quick Delivery inventory.  The residences boast all the attributes that have spurred sales at the community past the 70% sold mark.

First and foremost are modern and spacious interiors that feature designer appointments throughout.   These contemporary floorplans are complemented by notable brick exteriors of tremendous grandeur and consequence.  There’s also plenty of room to spread out with private patios and outdoor space provided with each residence, as well as shared open space that includes a walking trail, expansive parade grounds and the East Gate Park.  All of this is offered in a picturesque, maintenance-free neighborhood where tiresome chores such as lawn are handled by a Homeowner Association.  The community is also serviced by the sough-after Oceanport school district which is consistently critically acclaimed.

Three-bedroom Quick Delivery townhomes are priced from the low $500,000s, three-bedroom Quick Delivery duplexes are priced from the upper $600,00s and the Quick Delivery four-bedroom single-family residences start in the upper $800,000s.

“Our Quick Delivery homes have had great appeal to homebuyers who want to purchase a stylish new residence, but may desire to speed up plans to move,”  says Michael Hong, Assistant VP of Development for RPM.   “This is further amplified by current market conditions and includes everyone from purchasers who already sold an existing home to renters in places like Hoboken, Jersey City, Morristown and Long Branch are looking to significantly increase living space from smaller urban apartments or condos.   East Gate provides a one-of-a-kind opportunity to purchase a chic, expansive home with sought-after interior features and exterior historic flair that’s delivered to them quickly after completing their purchase.”

RPM Development Group has instituted revised sales procedures to assist homebuyers at East Gate during the coronavirus outbreak.  The development firm, along with CB New Homes, the community’s exclusive sales agent, has enacted the new measures to allow prospects to safely tour the homes and neighborhood and alleviate some of the concerns associated with COVID-19.

The community’s sales gallery is open by appointment and buyers can still discuss the one-of-a-kind homes at East Gate with a sales representative by calling 732-523-5566.  What’s more, the process of in-person private tours has been adjusted to comply with recommended social distancing guidelines.  On-site visitors are provided exclusive access to new Officer’s Row models at East Gate, including a fully -decorated three-bedroom single-family attached home and a vignetted four-bedroom single-family detached residence.  Buyers can walk through the models at their leisure. For the safety of visitors and staff, there is an increased frequency of cleanings of the models and its high touch surfaces.  As always, a wealth of detailed information, including availability, homes features, and virtual model tours, are available on the community’s website at

Officer’s Row, the final housing section at East Gate, is a limited offering of just 8 detached and attached single-family homes.  Aptly named after its former purpose as acclaimed residences for high ranking officers stationed on Fort Monmouth, homes in Officer’s Row are situated in some of most desirable community locations with beautiful waterviews of Parker’s Creek.
