Jersey City is home to an array of hot spot restaurants and fine places to dine but since 2011 the city has had a unique claim to fame; home to one of the Food Network’s “Chopped” winners.  Wayne Lyons, owner of Soul Flavors,  is a Jersey City local and opened his restaurant here in 2004. Chef Wayne brought the $10,000 prize back home after becoming champion and continues to serve up his unique and nurturing “soul food” to clients like Jay-Z, Kanye West, and Martha Stewart at his Grove Street spot today.
