There will be Food Trucks, Activities, Spooky entertainment, a Costume Contest with a large cash prize and much more!

LSC After Dark: Monster Masquerade

There’s no better place to celebrate the Halloween season than at LSC After Dark: Monster Masquerade, Oct. 18, 6:00 – 10:00 pm!

Guests 21 and over are invited to join us as monsters take over Liberty Science Center for one thrilling evening! Grab a drink, hit the dance floor, explore exhibits throughout the building, and prepare yourself for horrifying adventures and experiments.

If you’re brave enough for it, enter LSC’s haunted lab, the Doom Zoo, where scientific abominations lurk around every corner. For a less frightening experience, head outside and solve an immersive puzzle in our 4,000-sq-ft Spider Maze against the gorgeous NYC skyline.

Plus: costume contests, smoking cocktails, drink tastings, and so much more!

Midnight Market joins us again this month with delicious $5 food plates from local vendors. (Cash only, please.) JC Oddities Market will also be here with vendors selling odd and spooky gifts, art, and jewelry.

You can also experience a show in the Jennifer Chalsty Planetarium, the biggest planetarium in the Western Hemisphere. LSC is a nonprofit organization, and when you make an additional $5 donation to support our programs for 91,000 students from at-risk communities, we’ll thank you with a ticket to one of our exhilarating shows. (Please make your donation in person at the event.)

LSC After Dark events are the third Thursday of every month at Liberty Science Center. Guests 21 and over can enjoy an after-hours adventure featuring drinks, food, music, dancing, access to all the exhibits in the Science Center, and more.

Rocky Horror at the Cemetery


HALLOWEEN NIGHT! Join us for a frightening finish to our month-long October Halloween Tour at the historic Jersey City & Harsimus Cemetery! Don’t let the day of the week discourage you. Dress your best, bring all your friends, and come get spooky with us at this graveyard smash!

Halloween Bash

On Saturday, October 28th, join us for a spooktacular afternoon of family-friendly chills, thrills and fun for ghosts and witches of all ages! The fun starts at 3pm and continues until 7pm with a kids’ costume contest, a kids’ parade around the park, and trick-or-treating from our fabulous sponsors at stations throughout the park.

3pm to 7pm on Saturday, October 28th, 2017

Events include: 
Halloween parade for children ten and under
Parade starts promptly at 3:00 p.m. (line-up starts at 2:30 p.m.)

Costume contest with four categories: Family, Kids ages 0-3, 4-7 & 8-10. Entry fee for the contest is $5 per entry. Contestants must register through Evenbrite. Contestants entering in the family category count as one entry. Contest starts promptly at 4:30 p.m.
