Lobby-Connected Café Offers Outdoor Seating, Premium Coffee, Baked Goods, Breakfast and Lunch

Almost Home General, a New Jersey-based brand of cafes, coffeehouses and coffee carts, announced today that it has opened a new café at 351 Marin in Jersey City.

Located at the corner of Marin Boulevard and Bay Street, the 1,000 square-foot café offers premium coffee, tea and espresso drinks, fresh pastries, and a full breakfast and lunch menu. Customers can relax in a cafe with lounge seating, tables, and plenty of natural sunlight.

This is the second Almost Home location to open in a building owned by Jersey City-based KRE Group. It follows the successful launch of The Café at Journal Squared, presented by Almost Home, a public café in the lobby of Journal Squared that has quickly become a neighborhood favorite. Similar to the Journal Squared location, the new café connects directly to 351 Marin’s lobby, allowing residents to access the shop internally.

The multiple connection points nurture a vibrant atmosphere. Easily accessed by both street and lobby, the new Almost Home General is a dynamic hub for coffee, culture and conversation.

Mr. Doran also points to the café’s al fresco feel. It offers outdoor seating that overlooks a series of elevated garden beds, staggered concrete blocks and mini water fountains on 351 Marin’s public plaza. The storefront doors are collapsable, allowing for an indoor-outdoor café experience in nice weather.

Almost Home General is open seven days a week between 7:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. The café offers a full breakfast and lunch menu to go along with its premium coffees and creative espresso drinks. Guests enjoy favorites like breakfast sandwiches, waffles, avocado toast, cheesesteaks, and buffalo Caesar wraps, along with many other sandwiches and salads. Food and drink delivery is available.

For serious coffee drinkers, Almost Home General at 351 Marin offers some of the best single-origin coffees from around the world. The coffee offerings rotate based on which beans are currently in harvest. On the playful side of the beverage menu, the café offers a selection of whimsical espresso-based drinks, teas and lemonades. The Cereal Latte, which incorporates the flavors of a different breakfast cereal every month, is a nod to childhood mornings with milk from the cereal bowl. There are also smoked drinks like the S’mores Latte and the Old Fashioned Cold Brew, inspired by the classic campfire dessert and cocktail, respectively.

Customers help shape the menu. They are always invited to share their ideas. Some of the café’s biggest hits, like the Key Lime Latte, were based on customer suggestions.

351 Marin opened in 2022 and is known for its spectacular lobby, 507 modern rental residences and ground to sky amenities. The building’s 37^th floor Sky Lounge offers co-working spaces, banquette seating, and an outdoor landscaped patio offering a tiered theater and breathtaking views of the Manhattan and Jersey City skylines.

351 Marin’s eighth floor amenity level is another iconic feature. It includes a 24-hour fitness center, yoga/studio/group fitness area, full entertainment kitchen with sitting area, movie and screening area, game room and children’s playroom. An outdoor, landscaped terrace features a pool deck with a resort-style pool, lounge seating, fire pits, and BBQ grilling stations with prep counters. A community garden and dog run are located on the seventh floor. Residents enjoy robust events programming and activations throughout the year, including a full schedule of fitness classes. The new cafe complements the overall vibe.
