Jersey City Marathon Draws Record-Breaking Crowd of Nearly 10,000 Runners

According to jcitytimes.com, in the world of marathons, few courses offer the combination of speed, beauty, and challenge that the Jersey City Marathon does, say its organizers. This year, nearly 10,000 runners got to experience it firsthand.

The third annual race saw 9,679 participants line up for the marathon and half marathon, a record turnout since the event’s inception in 2023. The course begins and ends in the Newport Green area, allowing runners to race through Jersey City’s diverse districts while enjoying views of the Hudson River and iconic New York City landmarks.

The event, organized by the nonprofit Jersey City Road Runners in collaboration with the city, drew participants from 46 states and 36 countries with a large local presence from Jersey City and New Jersey.
