As recently reported by hudsonreporter.com, Jersey City celebrated its annual Women of Action Awards at City Hall.

The event honored eight women from different parts of the city and one high school student for their work in areas such as health, teaching, nature, helping others, and school life. Mayor Steven M. Fulop, the Jersey City Municipal Council, and the Office of Cultural Affairs presented the awards.

Each of these women has worked hard in their own way, whether in business, education, health, or community service.
