Alex Lasry, newly selected CEO of FIFA World Cup 2026™ New York New Jersey Host Committee, will provide the program for the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce 137th Annual Meeting and B2B Expo. This premier event is scheduled for Wednesday, March 12 from 11 am – 2 pm,  at The Westin Jersey City Newport.

Emory Edwards, president and CEO of the Hudson County Chamber of Commerce made the announcement. “We are excited to partner with the NY/NJ Host Committee to ensure that this global event leaves a positive and lasting impact on our business and hospitality community and residents,” Edwards said.

Lasry brings a wealth of experience from his tenure as senior vice president of the Milwaukee Bucks and his role as deputy assistant secretary for travel and tourism in the U.S. Department of Commerce. He will provide exclusive insights into the preparations for the FIFA World Cup 2026™, set to culminate with the final match at New York New Jersey Stadium (MetLife Stadium) on July 19, 2026. His presentation will highlight the anticipated economic impact of over $2 billion and the creation of more than 14,000 jobs in the region. 

New Jersey Lt. Governor Tahesha Way will offer the keynote address for the event. The Hudson County Chamber’s 2025 theme is “Path to Prosperity,” and Lt. Gov. Way will discuss Murphy administration priorities and its efforts on behalf of business.

The Hudson Chamber’s Annual Meeting is a ticketed event, open to the public. It begins with a B2B Expo at 11 a.m., showcasing products, services, and innovations from Hudson County’s vibrant business community. Lunch, the election of Directors, and the speaking program follows at 12 p.m.
