The Jersey Art Book Fair Returns to MANA Contemporary (and Project 14C)

According to https://jcitytimes.com/, DENSE is returning to the site of the inaugural 2023 festival: MANA Contemporary (888 Newark Avenue).

Two years ago, the Art Book Fair nearly overflowed MANA’s spacious Biergarten Gallery; this year, a much bigger Fair will occupy much of the first floor of the sprawling arts complex on the western edge of town. DENSE founder Petia Morozov has attracted more than two hundred vendors to Jersey City, and she’s supplementing the tables with a lengthy schedule of events. It’s still one of the most inexpensive shows around: JAB Fair suggests a donation of five dollars or more on its reservation page. An all-access pass (which includes a copy of the latest edition of DENSE, an art book in magazine form) is $25.

The Jersey Art Book Fair takes over MANA Contemporary on Saturday, February 22 and Sunday, February 23. A night before the MANA exhibition, JAB launches with two events at Project 14C (150 Bay St.), the residency and studio project organized and overseen by Art Fair 14C. Like the Jersey Art Book Fair, 14C held their most recent event at the Central Railroad of New Jersey Terminal but won’t be back there in 2025. Project 14C opens its doors to the public soon to exhibit what the new resident artists are cooking up; the Friday, February 21 kickoff and February 22 night party are two of the first events to be held in a space that may soon become central to the Jersey City creative community.
