Jersey City Elementary School Named Top 10 In NJ By US News

HUDSON COUNTY, NJ — According to http://patch.com U.S. News and World Report recently released their 2025 ranking of the nation’s best public elementary schools — and one Hudson County public school came out on top.

The news magazine used publicly available data from the U.S. Department of Education in its metrics. Data included state assessments of students who were proficient or above proficient in math and reading/language arts, students’ background, and their achievements in core subjects. Student-teacher ratios were applied to break ties.

School 28 in Paterson was listed as the best public elementary school in New Jersey, according to the list. But one public school in Hudson County — Cornelia F. Bradford School, located in the Exchange Place area — also came out in the top 10. The school is also known as P.S. 16.
